Who is responsible

The short version

• No cookies, no tracking, no advertising.
• Fonts and images come from this website itself, not from Google or other third parties.
• YouTube videos only load after you click play.
• When you buy, payment is handled by PayPal; Dušan only receives what he needs to send you the book.

Visiting the site

When you open a page, your browser sends technical information to the web server: your IP address, date and time, the page requested, the browser and operating system. The site is hosted by Namecheap, Inc. (Phoenix, Arizona, USA) on a server located in Germany, so this data is stored in the EU. It is kept briefly in log files to keep the site running and secure; the log files are kept for 30 days and then deleted automatically. Namecheap processes this data on our behalf under a data processing agreement. As Namecheap is a US company, access from the USA (for example for technical support) cannot be ruled out; any such transfer is based on the EU standard contractual clauses (Art. 46 GDPR). Legal basis: legitimate interest in a secure, working website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Your day/night setting

If you switch between day and night mode, your choice is saved in your own browser (local storage) so the site remembers it on your next visit. It never leaves your device and you can clear it at any time in your browser settings. It is not used to identify or follow you.

Videos (YouTube)

Videos are shown as still images first. Only when you click play does your browser connect to YouTube (Google Ireland Limited) through its privacy-enhanced “youtube-nocookie.com” service. From that moment Google receives your IP address and information about the video you watch, and may transfer data to the USA. Google’s privacy policy applies. Clicking play is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR); if you don’t click, nothing is sent.

Buying the book (PayPal)

The “Buy” button takes you to PayPal (PayPal (Europe) S.à r.l. et Cie, S.C.A., Luxembourg). You enter your payment details there, not on this site, and PayPal’s privacy policy applies.

Dušan receives your name, postal address, email address and the order details from PayPal. He uses them only to send you the book and handle any questions or returns (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Because Austrian tax law requires it, order records are kept for seven years and then deleted.

Contacting Dušan

If you write by email, Instagram or Facebook Messenger, your message and contact details are used only to answer you and are deleted when they’re no longer needed, unless they belong to an order. Instagram and Messenger are run by Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd.; their privacy terms apply to messages sent there.

Links to social networks

The Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and X icons are ordinary links. Nothing is loaded from those networks until you click one and leave this site.

Your rights

You can ask what data about you is stored, have it corrected or deleted, limit its use, receive it in a portable format and object to its processing. Where you gave consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Just write to the email address above.

If you think your data is being handled unlawfully, you can complain to the Austrian Data Protection Authority (Datenschutzbehörde, dsb.gv.at) or the authority in your own EU country.
